Glenbow Museum

More Details

The Glenbow Museum, Calgary AB, is the home of 4 glass objects having a Mallorytown Connection. These were sold to a Calgary collector, by Mr Gerald Stevens. The collector subsequently donated them to the Glenbow on his passing. The objects are: a milk bowl, a footed bowl, a paperweight and a small covered ceramic or milk glass bowl whose lid is labelled “With compliments of D. W. Mallory Mallorytown”. The first two objects could be Mallorytown glass (or Redford), the paperweight is quite green with blue parts not previously known as Mallorytown glass colours and the covered bowl is unlikely to be Mallorytown glass. They do form an interesting collection of glass objects from Mallorytown.
